Investigate and Resolve Construction Bond Claims

Responsibilities:

  • Claim handling, from inception to closure, for various bond types, based upon prior construction claim or adjusting experience and willingness to learn more
  • Investigate, research, analyze, and process claims with prescribed authorization and according to claims best practice
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, industry trends and techniques, technologies, etc.
  • Negotiate settlements in collaboration with clients, attorneys, and third parties, earning the respect of others via professionalism, courtesy, decorum, and diligence

Requirements:

  • Claims resolution skills, including critical thinking, business acumen and people smarts
  • 5-7 years (or more!) of progressively responsible claims experience in surety, property & casualty, or a related field that also involves technical complexity

  • While not required, any law, paralegal, or construction-related experience will be an asset
