One specific challenge that emerged on the project was the need to get fresh water to the site, something that had to be arranged through both tribal leadership as well as the chief at the local fire department. That’s because the plan created, proposed, and ultimately accepted was to use the department’s firetruck to transport the fresh water to the site.
